Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this indoors?
Yes. It is primarily an indoor product. It is not an outdoor product unless the air is very still. Visit our Instructions page for more information.
Why are there 50 sheets of Flying Wish Paper® and only 25 Wish Platforms?
The activity kit will supply 25 people at one time. There are 50 sheets of Flying Wish Paper® because people often want to make more than one wish. The Wish Platforms can each be used two or three times.
How do I roll the Flying Wish Paper® into a tube?
The easiest way is to wrap it around your index finger and then transfer that basic shape onto your Wish Platform. Please see the instructions section of the website for more details and for a printable page of instructions.
Should I be concerned about the fire?
Like any product that uses a flame, Flying Wish Paper® comes with a warning:
Product not intended for use by children. Burn product on platform card provided. Always burn within sight. Keep out of reach of children. Never burn near anything that can catch fire. Keep away from drafts. Keep free of foreign objects. Never leave fire unattended.
What happens if my tube falls over when it’s lit?
If you are quick, your can set it upright again. Or, you can just let it burn out. The most common mistake is to blow out the match in the direction of the standing Flying Wish Paper®…this will knock down the tube.
Can I use this at my reception hall?
Each venue will have its own rules for allowing products with flames in its facility, so you will need to talk to them directly and likely demonstrate the product for their reference.
Will this set off my smoke alarm?
Flying Wish Paper® generates very little smoke, and our tests have never set off a smoke alarm.
Is there ash to clean up afterward?
Sometimes the Flying Wish Paper® disintegrates completely. Sometimes there is a little ash remaining. Many people like to catch the ash as it floats down, and then just place it on a plate or napkin, or on the table in front of them. Clean up is easy with a damp paper towel or a hand vacuum.
